According to the Queen, great brows are all about proportion. Whilst talking to Mica Rickets in a one-on-one, Soare shared many secrets to getting the perfectly arched brow she’s saluted for. 

Before she launched her range of eyebrow products in 2000, under her million-dollar makeup company, the world cared not as much about the brows. 

Since 2000, the fashion industry has witnessed many eyebrow makeup trends. Anastasia Beverly Hills has also introduced more products within the eyebrow category.

If we compare the eyebrow trends from early 2000 to up until last year, there is a major shift. Many of us were plucking way too much, some were filling too much, or not enough.

2021 was more about straight brows, fluffy brows, and brushed up brows.

Laminated Eyebrows 

Eyebrow lamination is a semi-permanent procedure that will save you the hassle of making your brows every day (if you keep a particular brow look).

The brow is lifted using a cream, then the hair is brushed upwards to create the desired shape. A neutralizer helps seal the deal.

It’s been used over 900,000 times already since 2022. 

What does it mean for the eyebrow makeup trends? Celebrities, influencers, stylists, and MUAs are going all-natural with their brows this season! 

To try, stick to your natural brow shape, just more groomed. You can lightly fill your brows with a pencil of the same color. It’s a minimalist look. 

Bleached Brows

Thanks to TikTok, we’re now in the age of, what can be best termed, ‘bleached brows’. 

Sounds gross? It looks otherwise! 

Bleached brows are a TikTok staple that’s become popular with celebrities including Lady Gaga, Maisie Williams, and Kim Kardashian. 

Bleached brows made an appearance on the runway too for top fashion designers, such as Jean-Paul Gaultier and Dolce & Gabbana in 2021.

But its global popularity is credited to MUAs on TikTok.

If you don’t wish to bleach your brow but are feeling inspired by the trend, use a full-coverage concealer with a spoolie to fake the look. 

Colored Brows

Colored eyebrows made an appearance in the Paris Fashion Week - Fall 2021 too, and the TikTok world has followed. 

This one’s about going all-out. 

It’s for the creatives, the loud ones, and those who enjoy making a statement. 

Colored brows are an easy way to amp up any makeup look, and be experimental. 

Lizzo especially has played around with this look by combining it with bleached brows. 

This one’s simple to achieve. 

Make use of your eyeshadow palettes, or colored mascara.

Straight Arched Brow 

A classic look that goes back to the sweetheart Audrey Hepburn!

Stick-straight or straight arched brow look is staying in 2022. 

Bella Hadid at 2021’s Cannes Film Festival was seen rocking the look too and we’ve been fans since. 

Out of all the eyebrow makeup trends in 2022, this one reminds us of the classic fashion days the most. 

To achieve this look, trim your brows, and pluck the excess hair. 

This look is the opposite of a feathered or fluffy look, so the excess hair must go!
